Bioactivity and biocompatibility of bioceramic sealers in endodontics: an integrative review.

Introduction: Bioceramic sealers have been gaining prominence in endodontics, meaning a great advance for endodontic therapy, mainly due to their biocompatibility and bioactivity. Objectives: research discuss the literature about bioactivity of bioceramic sealants. Materials methods: An integrative review was performed. The systematic plan consisted four steps. In first stage, bibliographic survey carried out Capes Periódicos Portal database. search criteria were articles published between 2017 2022, found “advanced search” mode, using cross-references with following keywords: bioceramics AND endodontology root canals sealer biocompatibility. Only documents full evaluated. second titles abstracts read. third selection made those containing 3 5 keywords wording equal or close proposed keywords. fourth step reading texts full, followed by checking duplicity building table collected information. Results: view out, 23 obtained stage. After abstracts, 21 obtained. selecting keywords, 10 met criteria. One article deleted duplicates. 9 exclusion inclusion selected be part review. Discussion: studies this showed that sealants perform well therapy. Conclusion: To its clinical application, more vivo vitro precise methods are needed obtain reliable data properties.
